Meeting for the up coming trip to the John Muir Trail

Posted on Jan 28 2017 - 7:19pm
Meeting for the up coming trip to the John Muir Trail. It will take place at the South Park Panera at 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 2. The John Muir backpacking trip will take place sometime in July 2018. There is an age restriction on this trip you must be 16 by June 2018. This trip is a demanding 250 mile track starting from Yosemite national Park through the Sierra Mountains ending at Mount Whitney. It will be a huge time commitment and physical backpacking trip, but if you are up for the challenge then Please attend this meeting. I am doing this as a first come first serve as I do not know how many slots will be available for this trip. A parent must accompany their scout to this meeting so that everyone understands the demands of this trip. I look forward to seeing you guys on Thursday.

Yours in scouting
Dave Kraska

Winter Court of Honor

Posted on Jan 14 2017 - 6:50pm

Just a note regarding the winter COH. In reviewing the troop calendar, I see that the January 24th troop meeting is taking place at the skating rink. This is final meeting before the court of honor and is the date I noted was the last for submission of your reservation and Chinese auction items.

We will still take your rsvp and auction items at the rink but if at all possible, could you please attempt to bring those items to next week’s meeting on the 17th?  Things tend to be somewhat chaotic at an off-site meeting!

Thanks for your help and understanding.

Patrols are to bring items for the auction baskets:
Raiders: Let's Eat Out (certif for fast food or other)
Puma: Brain Teasers
Green Bar: Family Game Night (games and snacks)
Wolverines: Who Wants to be a Millionaire (Pa lottery scratch-offs)
Brick Squad: Movie Night (certif. For movie theater and candy)
